Our unique Chai Spiced Scottish Gin expression is inspired by the refreshing and rich floral notes of Oolong white tea sourced specially from the region of Dibrugarh, Assam, from the estates once owned by the family.

The aromatic and zesty lime adds citreous notes to our gin, dry Vetiver roots adds earthiness and dryness, Rutland Square Chai Spiced Gin adds Indian cardamom, caraway seeds, cubeb peppers, angelica roots, coriander seeds, cinnamon, liquorice, Star-anise, orange peel & cloves to create a softly spiced flavour profile with a background hit of zesty citrus.

Steps to Support Sustainability 

RECIPE 1: The Spiced Orchard Highball

Spirit: 5cl Rutland Square Chai-Spiced Gin

Mixer: 100ml Sepoy Tropical Lemonade

• About Recipe: The gin's Oolong tea and vetiver notes pair beautifully with the tropical passionfruit. The hint of cardamom in the lemonade highlights the gin’s own cardamom and caraway botanicals.
• Instructions: Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the 5cl of Gin, top with 100ml of Tropical Lemonade.
• Garnish: A thin slice of fresh ginger or an orange twist.

RECIPE 2: The Monsoon Punch

Spirit: 5cl Rutland Square Chai-Spiced Rum

Mixer: 100ml Sepoy Tropical Lemonade

• About Recipe: This rum is aged in ex-sherry casks and features star anise and cloves. The pineapple in the lemonade provides a bright, acidic contrast to the rich molasses and warm oak of the rum.
• Instructions: Fill a short glass with ice. Pour in the 5cl of Rum, top with the remaining 100ml of Tropical Lemonade.
• Garnish: A cinnamon stick or a squeeze of fresh lime.

Serving Note

Since both the spirits and the mixer are quite artisanal and flavor-dense, we recommend using large ice cubes if possible. This keeps the drinks cold without diluting the complex Oolong tea notes too quickly.
